Today's my birthday! 29 feels an awful lot like 20!! As I'm waiting for the festivities to begin I thought I'd share a smoothie recipe I threw together for lunch!
Two fist fulls of spinach
3/4 Cup water
1 small apple (Keep peeling on)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 container nonfat cinnamon bun yogurt (publix brand!)
I don't have the fanciest blender but if I take my time with it it makes yummy smooth smoothies.
First I add 1/2 cup water. Then fist fulls of spinach, blend on purée for about 45 seconds. While blender is still running on purée add sliced apples one at a time. After apple then chopped banana. Let blend for another 45 seconds. Stop blender use a spatcula to wipe down the sides of the blender. Got to get all that nutrition! Now, add yogurt, cinnamon, protein powder, 1/4 cup water, and a handful of ice. I use the ice pulse then set on purée for another 45 seconds! I promise is comes out so smoothie!
