My fitness routine has been non-existent since the summer. Yes, I will run a mile every now and then but, since my last half marathon experience I have been a little discouraged. Honestly, I'm a little scared to start back running. My IT band continues to give me issues. Also, the stress of this past semester has left me physically and mentally exhausted. I continued to tell myself how important exercise is to relieve stress but, I always felt time was not on my side. I will not fall into this routine again in Spring semester. I'm starting a Five Days of Fitness Series to keep me accountable and motivated. March 6th, 2015 is my next scheduled half marathon so, it's time to get serious.

Freedom flow is one of my top picks!!!! I love that yoga routine. And you GO girl. :) I need to get back into my fitness routine this week. This weekend (including today) has been one of overindulgences.
ReplyDeleteI feel so yucky! oh, and I have already dropped the ball!! Family Christmas went a little too long yesterday so, I missed my Sunday!! BTW I signed up for the 30 days of yoga. Your challenge post was awesome!!!
DeleteThis looks like a great way to mix it up and not get bored with the same old routine each day. Such a great idea. I had started PiYO from BeachBody but then had some tummy issues resulting in surgery. I'm looking to start back on a good schedule once I'm all healed up. (I do hope that's SOON!) I like your method here. It definitely has me thinking about how I want to start my new year. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you are better soon! And I'm also glad i could have in any way!
DeleteI love how you mixed things up. I am not a runner but I am starting to walk more and move around. My friend wanted me to go to hot yoga with her at one point but I haven't been I may do so in the New Year.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I love hot yoga! Its very relaxing!! It would be a good goal to do this year!
DeleteAfter my first half marathon I had a hard time getting back into running. It was easier after my second. You are doing the right thing by mixing it up. That will keep you from boredom and hopefully keep you injury free. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It gets easier as it goes. I'm hoping to not have any more injuries!
DeleteI have been getting my work outs in, but not pushing myself at all. I need to kick start working harder again. I like how you are switching it up with different types of work outs throughout the week so you don't get bored. Getting discouraged is so easy, I completely understand!
ReplyDeleteFrom my personal experience, I would ease back into it so i wouldn't get discouraged!
DeleteI need to get back into a regular workout schedule too! This looks like a fun one. :] I love printable workouts too!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I'm glad I can help in anyway!!
DeleteAwesome post!! I just might have to save this for later. :)
ReplyDeleteThank You!!
DeleteLol Thank you! And I hope so! I have a 5K I'm getting ready for soon!

You should know who the real players are and effectively search them out, don't sit tight for them to "find" you.
