Healthy Turkey Chili

The smell of Fall is in the air and that means one thing in the Huggins Household, well two, Alabama Football and lots-o-chili! Nothing is better then coming home from a long day at work to a large bowl of warm cheesy, chili! This crock-pot recipe is one of my favorites! It can feed a family of four or provide a meal and leftovers for you and the hubby. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1# extra lean ground turkey
1 small yellow onion
1 can (15 oz) kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can (15 oz) chick-peas (drained and rinsed)
1 can (15 oz) black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can (8 oz) tomato paste
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes (do not drain)
1 can (4 oz) mild green chilies
1-2 Tbsp chili powder
*reduce sodium by buying canned items that have "reduced sodium" on the can and then rinse them when you get home to remove excess salt!*
Directions

Dice small onion and saute with ground turkey.
Add all ingredients to crock-pot and set on high for 6-8 hours.

Easy!
