Three years ago today Brian and I got hitched and the idea of Newlywed Nutrition was born! I remember the day like it was yesterday. It started with my dear friend and bridesmaid, Whitney Pinkston running off to Hobby Lobby to buy me a vase...I don't even remember why I needed that vase. No time after she had left I received a phone call from her telling me that her car would not start and she needed me to come and help her. I believe we had to call my brother-in-law to come help us because we didn't know how to use jumper cables. I love you Whit! Thanks for a great and funny memory. After the car mishap it was time to meet my ladies at the nail salon! It was litttle bit of a blur after that...I remember writing Brian a letter while I was getting my make-up done, my Mother and sister running around frantically, and my wonderful bridesmaids making bows (I am kind of a procrastinator!). I do remember seeing Brian for the first time that day. We chose to have a "moment" before the ceremony. We were both giddy and I'm not sure if we really knew what was about to happen. The rest of the day was perfect and I'm so thankful to be with him today.
So much has happened over the past three years. Our life will not slow down! Does anyone else feel this way? First it was graduation then engagement then marriage! I guess next next would be...baby?
I thank you all for reading Newlywed Nutrition. Not sure if we can technically still call ourselves newlyweds... My plans for Newlywed Nutrition are big! I am still going to blog about the challenges, compromises, failures and successes with a little nutrition vent every now and then. Hey, we have actually come along way...well our anniversary dinner did consist of pizza and wine?!! All in moderation, right? But, I want to branch out and let other newlyweds, or ol' married folk with great wisdom, tell there stories of compromise and ways they are building a healthy marriage! So, if you are interested in guest posting, please shoot me an email at cindyjadeRD@gmail.com.
And as always....Continue reading as I continue my mission: Healthy Huggins!
Happy Anniversary! I hope you had a fabulous day celebrating :) Blessings~~angela
