Day-3 of the 7-Day Green Smoothie Challenge. Today's beverage is packed with fiber, protein and antioxidants. The taste was very nutty and not sweet, so play with the recipe but try to keep the good nutrition! Steel cut oats are rich in soluble fiber which helps reduce cholesterol and stabilize blood sugars. With any smoothie recipe adding oats is a must to increase the nutritional value. I used soy milk and
almond yogurt in this smoothie, but you can substitute with your favorite dairy products. I just had to try the almond yogurt when I saw it in the grocery store. May I suggest adding an sweetener to this smoothie.
Make sure you drink plenty of water following this smoothie =)
