Remember Tuscaloosa

They (whoever "they" are) say that the first year of marriage is the hardest. On May 1st, 2011, Brian and I celebrated our one year anniversary with a new outlook on marriage and life. A few days before, our hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama was turned upside down when a massive tornado hit. It left many homeless, heart broken and alone. The death toll was unbelievable. Brian and I felt helpless as we watched the devastation from our living room television. In efforts to help we collected donations and supplies from the coast.
As we road the streets of Tuscaloosa for the first time, we were quiet. My heart hurt. It was eerie. My town I had known since I was a little girl was...gone, vanished. Now 100 days out, Tuscaloosa and surrounding counties continue to pull together in efforts to rebuild. Progress has been made, but a long journey is still ahead. Please continue to keep Tuscaloosa in your thoughts and prayers.

Please continue to support our home town.
